The City of Tshwane, in collaboration with Rand Water, from 18:00 on Wednesday, 30 September 2026, to 06:00 on Thursday, 1 October 2026, will carry out critical valve replacement work on the Garsfontein Reservoir bulk water supply system. · Replacement of these four components is essential, as they assist technicians to safely and effectively isolate the affected sections of a bulk water network during maintenance, repairs and emergency work. Carrying out this work will also assist the City in reducing water losses and limiting the duration of future supply interruptions during inevitable maintenance or emergency repairs. · Simultaneously, the technical team will carry out fencing and structural repairs of Garsfontein Reservoir. · During the shutdown, the following areas that are supplied through the Garsfontein Reservoir bulk water system may experience a water interruption or reduced water pressure: · Eersterust Reservoir: Despatch, Eersterust, Jan Niemandpark, Mamelodi, Silvertondale and Waltloo · Elardus Park Reservoir: Constantia Park, Elardus Park (all extensions), Erasmuskloof Ext 2 and 3, Erasmuspark Ext 1, Garsfontein 374-JR, Garstkloof 595‑JR, Moreletapark (all extensions), Rietvallei 377-JR, Rietvalleipark, Rietvalleirand (all extensions), Waterkloof 345-JR, 360-JR and 378-JR, Waterkloof AH, Waterkloof Glen, Wingate Park, Wingate Park Ext 1, 2 and 3 · Kilner Park Reservoir: Kilner Park · Koedoesnek LL Reservoir: Die Wilgers (all extensions), Equestria (all extensions), Faerie Glen, Garsfontein, Koedoesnek AH, Life Wilgers Hospital, Lynnwood, Lynnwood Glen, Lynnwood Ridge, Struland AH, Wapadrand, Willow Glen, Willow Glen AH and Zwartkoppies · Magalieskruin Reservoir: Hartebeestfontein 324-JR and Wonderboom · Mamelodi R1 Reservoir: Mamelodi, Mamelodi Ext 13, 27 and 34, and Mamelodi 608-JR · Mamelodi R2 Reservoir: Mamelodi, Mamelodi 608-JR, and Mamelodi Ext 13 and 15 · Montana Reservoir: Annlin, Christiaansville, Cynthia Vale, Derdepoortpark, Doornpoort, Kenley AH, Kozeni AH, Magalieskruin, Montana (all extensions), Montana AH, Montanapark, Montana Tuine, Pumulani AH, Sinoville and Wolmaranspoort AH · Moreleta Reservoir: Bellevue, Brummeria (all extensions), Chrysler Park, Georgeville, Lindo Park, Lydiana, Lynnwood Manor, Mopani, Navors, Scientia, Silverton (all extensions), Vlakfontein and Weavind Park · Murrayfield Reservoir: La Concorde, La Montagne, Meyerspark (all extensions), Murrayfield, Salieshoek and Val-de-Grace · Parkmore HL Reservoir:Ashlea Gardens, Constantia Park (all extensions), De Beers, Faerie Glen (all extensions), Garsfontein (all extensions), Newlands (all extensions), Pretoriuspark (all extensions), Valley Farm 379-JR, Waterkloof Glen (all extensions) and Waterkloof Park · Parkmore LL Reservoir: Alphenpark, Ashlea Gardens, Constantia Park, De Beers, Faerie Glen, Garsfontein, Lynnwood Glen, Lynnwood Park, Maroelana, Menlyn, Newlands, Tshwane and Waterkloof Glen · Queenswood Reservoir: Colbyn, Deerness, Koedoespoort, Koedoespoort 325‑JR, Môregloed, Queenswood, Rietfontein, Rietfontein 321-JR, Rietondale, Villieria and Waverley · Sinoville HL Reservoir: Sinoville (all extensions) · Sinoville LL Reservoir: Sinoville (all extensions) · Villieria Peak Tanks: Magalieskruin 323-JR, Montana AH, Rietfontein, Villieria, Waverley, Wonderboom 302‑JR and Wonderboom South · Waverley HL Reservoir: Bergtuin, East Lynne (all extensions), Koedoespoort (all extensions), Villieria and Waverley · Waverley LL Reservoir: Derdepoortpark (all extensions), Ekklesia (all extensions), Jan Niemandpark and Lindo Park · Customers are advised that supply may not be restored immediately after the work has been completed, as the bulk network and the affected reservoirs will require time to refill and stabilise. Stored water should be kept in clean, securely covered containers. · The City further appeals to residents to use water sparingly during this period. Responsible consumption will help to preserve the available reservoir storage and to accelerate recovery of the system once the work has been completed.

The City of Tshwane is urging its customers in Regions 1, 3, 4 and 6 to urgently reduce their water consumption as the levels of the City’s reservoirs supplying some of the areas in the mentioned regions are showing a significant drop. · The City has recorded one of the highest water consumptions since Monday, 24 August 2026. Our telemetry system reflects a consumption of 932 Mℓ per day, which is 265 Mℓ per day above the City’s permitted limit. · The City has so far identified the ten highest consuming reservoirs. It has come to our attention that consumers who are supplied by these reservoirs are the main contributors to the overall high volume of consumption within Tshwane. · The demand in the areas supplied by the identified reservoirs is exceeding what the City can provide, compelling the City to surpass its licenced amount of water sourced from Rand Water. This high volume of consumption is continuously putting the City’s distribution network and Rand Water systems under severe pressure. · Customers are warned that, if the current consumption practice does not change, these high consuming areas will experience prolonged water supply interruptions. · Below are the highest consuming reservoirs and the areas they supply: · Areas that are putting a strain on Kruisfontein Reservoir: · Klip-Kruisfontein 708-JR · Kruisfontein 259-JR and 262-JR · Soshanguve A, B, TT, VV and XX · Soshanguve East · Soshanguve South (all extensions) · Wentzelrust 223-JR · Klapperkop Reservoir supplies the following areas, which contribute to a drop in its levels: · Arcadia · Blackmoor 347-JR · Bryntirion · Capital Park · Capital Park Ext 1, 2, 4, 7 and 8 · Daspoort 319-JR · Deerness · Eastclyffe · Eastwood · Elandspoort 357-JR · Eloff Estate 320-JR · Gezina · Groenkloof · Groenkloof 358-JR · Kilberry · Lisdogan Park · Lynnwood · Monumentpark · Monumentpark Extension 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 and 14 · Pretoria Town and Townlands 351-JR · Prinshof 349-JR · Rietfontein · Rietfontein 321-JR · Riviera · Scientia 416-JR and 627-JR · Sterrewag Ext 2 · Transpark 639-JR · Waterkloof 378-JR · Rooihuiskraal Reservoir is experiencing high consumption from the following areas: · Brakfontein 390-JR, 399-JR and 419-JR · Celtisdal (all extensions) · Hennopspark (all extensions) · Heuweloord (all extensions) · Kosmosdal (all extensions) · Monavoni AH · Olievenhoutbosch · Rooihuiskraal (all extensions) · Rooihuiskraal Noord (all extensions) · The Reeds (all extensions) · Wierdapark (all extensions) · Garsfontein Reservoir supplies the following areas: · Die Wilgers Ext 14, 53 and 83 · Hartebeespoort 328-JR and 362-JR · Kilner Park Ext 1 · Koedoespoort 325-JR and 456-JR · La Concorde · La Montagne Ext 7 · Lynnwood Manor · Meyerspark (all extensions) · Nellmapius (all extensions) · Persequor · Persequor Ext 5 and 7 · Salieshoek · Samcor Park · Samcor Park Ext 1 and 2 · Scientia 627-JR · Silverton · Silverton Ext 5, 7, 11, 17, 48, 50 and 54 · The Willows 340-JR · Waltloo · Waltloo Ext 1 · Wapadrand · Wapadrand Ext 3 and 17 · Willow Park AH · Willow Park Manor (all extensions) · Willowbrae AH · Willowglen AH · Mooikloof Reservoir areas: · Faerie Glen (all extensions) · Garsfontein · Garsfontein 374-JR · Garsfontein Ext 10, 11 and 13 · Moreletapark Ext 63 and 83 · Prairie Giants Ext 3 · Pretoriuspark (all extensions) · Rietfontein 375-JR · Tweefontein 372‑JR · Valley Farm 379-JR · Zwavelpoort 373-JR · Ga-Rankuwa East, Ga-Rankuwa West and Ga-Rankuwa Industrial Reservoirs are experiencing high consumption from the following areas: · De Wildt AH · Ga-Rankuwa (all units) · Ga-Rankuwa Industrial · Ga-Rankuwa View · Ga-Rankuwa Zone 1 · Kafferskraal 308-JR · Kameelfontein 257-JR · Krelingspost 425-JQ · Medunsa 237-JR · Rama 768-JR · Sjambok Zijn Oude Kraal 258-JR · Syferfontein 430-JQ · Uitvalgrond 434-JQ · Koedoesnek HL Reservoir areas: · Die Wilgers (all extensions) · Equestria (all extensions) · Faerie Glen (all extensions) · Hartebeespoort 362-JR · Koedoesnek 341-JR · La Montagne (all extensions) · Lynnwood Glen · Lynnwood Ridge (all extensions) · Meyerspark · Murrayfield · Struland AH · Tweefontein 372-JR · Val-de-Grace · Valley Farm 379-JR · Valley Farm AH · Wapadrand (all extensions) · Willow Glen AH · Koedoesnek LL Reservoir is experiencing high consumption in the following areas: · Die Wilgers (all extensions) · Equestria (all extensions) · Faerie Glen · Garsfontein · Koedoesnek AH · Life Wilgers Hospital · Lynnwood · Lynnwood Glen · Lynnwood Ridge · Struland AH · Wapadrand · Willow Glen · Willow Glen AH · Zwartkoppies
